Stomach Virus

Well this week has been a world wind at the Burton house.  B has been so fussy ever since he got the tubes on Monday.  That is so not like him, he has always been so laid back and easy going.  I haven't gotten him to eat much and he has just been a pill after we get home at night.  He seems to be fine while at daycare though, go figure...
Well he woke himself up last night vomitting.  He has never vomitted before and i know he was scared.  It was all over his crib and himself.  Just let me tell you the smell was awful!  Milk and what little carrots I got him to eat. Sorry TMI... So i put him in the bath (@ 10:30pm) stripped his bed and changed his clothes and he then proceeded to vomit two more times before midnight (once in my hand!) So we had lots of pj changes last night!
He slept through the night and when he woke up i gave him apple juice, he drank it too fast and threw that up all over our bed and his daddy!  He had a 101.5 temp at this time.
So I called in sick to work and Kyle and I stayed home with him.
He didn't vomit again until 11:30 this morning when I tried to give a little toast.  So i called the Dr and they wanted us to bring him in.  He tested negative for strep so we think it is a stomach virus.  There isn't anything we can do for him except keep him hydrated.  He hasn't vomitted since this morning, thank goodness! But he also hasn't had anything to eat.  Just apple juice all day and some pedialyte tonight.
So far so good, but Kyle is keeping him home tomorrow. I'm just ready for him to be back to normal!
Now I am just waiting for one (or both) of us to get it....

ah! same thing happened in our house. Reece got it the day after his birthday. Then daddy and sister. And then me. BOO!

It seemed to only last one day (two for reece).

Aww! Poor little guy! I hate throw up! It makes me scared! I know ridiculous huh!? I should probably get used to it if I plan on having kids!

I always feel so bad for the little ones that get it! They don't understand whats going on!

Keep your hands washed after tending to the messes and keep other things like door knobs, remotes, handles to things wiped down and you might not get it!
My honey had a stomach bug a while back. So bad that I was taking care of him and his, um, puke buckets. (sorry TMI) With keeping my hands washed and everything else wipped down, I never got it. I'm VERY OCD so I know A LOT about clorox wipes! I use those on everything during my "in between cleanings"! LOVE EM!

Hope your little man feels better soon!

P.S. Thanks for the pass on "what makes you smile!"
