Potty Training!

I won't say that we are really hard core potty training because we aren't pushing it in any way.  But Boston decided to peepee in the potty last weekend!  I got him a potty a few months ago and he just played with it.  I could tell it wasn't comfortable for him when sitting  and he is scared of the big potty so I got the Froggy Potty.
I really recommend this for moms of boys!  It comes up way high in the front so you don't have to worry about his "parts" sticking out (if that makes sense).
I started giving him stickers when he pees in the potty.  He LOVES stickers!
So this is how many times he's gone potty this week!
I plan on doing a prize box or something when we get more into it.  So far no poop in the potty.
But again my goal is to have him trained before Blakely gets here so we still have some time.  I plan on doing the 3 day method this summer sometime.
Now I'm not sure how to go about all this when we go out somewhere?  Since he is scared of the big potty right now...Any suggestions?

20 weeks-halfway there!

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 20 Weeks
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 2lbs!
Maternity Clothes: Started wearing some maternity pants this week. I can no longer wear my favorite jeans (shown in the photo) because the button presses on my bladder causing me to go to the bathroom even more!
Gender: GIRL-BLAKELY GRAY BURTON
Movement: Feeling more flutters throughout the day. She's very active.  According the the u/s tech my placenta is in the front so i may not feel her as much or as strong.  Ive also read that it causes people to show later in pregnancy.  I guess she's just squishing all my organs :/
Sleep: Not well. Not because of pregnancy but because Boston has decided its fun to wake up at 2-3:00 every morning.
What I miss: Margaritas on a patio, a glass of wine with the girls
Cravings: sweets
Symptoms: I'm feeling great for the most part. I'm still going to exercise classes at least 3 times a week. I think its making me feel so much better!  Hope I can continue it for awhile!

I think I'm getting closer to figuring out Boston and Blakely's bedding fabrics.  I ordered a bright orange quilt from Land of Nod and received some fabric samples this week that I may use for curtains and pillows!

Bust a Move

This kid loves to dance and sing.  He cracks me up!

He looks like he is about 3 or 4 years old to me when he wears a hat!
I got him a toddler size hat last week and had to exchange it for a youth size!  He has a big melon!  Always been in the 100th percentile.  I wonder if Blakely will be the same?  Let's hope not...

Wye Mountain Daffodils

We went out to Wye Mountain this weekend to let my friend Melissa take some photos.  She set up another mini-sesson and we wanted to take advantage. Especially since we never really got B's 2 year photos taken.  The flowers were beautiful, but Boston didn't cooperate very well.  He was just too busy walking all over the place.  She probably got a bunch of his side and back, lol.  He definitely has a mind of his own these days!

Here are a few that I took:

He also loved the big fire truck they had outside.

19 weeks and a name...

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 19 Weeks
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 0lbs!
Maternity Clothes: No maternity clothes yet, but I wear yoga pants almost everyday
Gender: GIRL-BLAKELY GRAY BURTON
Movement: Flutters mainly at night
Sleep: Very well unless Boston has a bad night
What I miss: Margaritas on a patio, a glass of wine with the girls
Cravings: Steak and baked potato, any kind of carbs
Symptoms: I'm feeling great for the most part.

So we have a name for baby girl!  BLAKELY GRAY BURTON.  I was real close to naming her Blake, but didn't want people to think she was a boy.  So we will probably just call her Blake for short.  Our other choice was Baylor Gray which could be boyish too.  Gray has no real significance.  Ive always loved Grace as a middle name, but wanted something a bit different so we went with Gray.

We ordered Boston a big boy bed yesterday!  We went with a full size platform type bed since its lower to the ground and has the modern look I love.  I'm still working on bedding.  Who knew it would be so hard!
I also ordered some fabric samples for Blake's room this week.  We will be using the same crib that Boston is in.  I would much rather have white furniture for her but oh well, I'm going to make it work somehow.
Tomorrow we start cleaning and purging to make room.  I'm tired just thinking about it!

It's A....

We are very excited and scared at the same time!  I feel like a girl will be a whole different world!
I have so much to do!
Everything looked normal and healthy on the ultrasound.  Praise GOD!
We are so thankful and blessed!

Now we have some deciding on the the name to do.  We have it narrowed to two.  Hopefully I will be sharing it soon!

Big Boy Room Ideas

First off, I came across this quote today on Facebook and had to share :)
If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day, so I never have to live without you.
A. A. Milne
Winnie the Pooh.
Today has been my first day off in over two weeks!  I am spending the day getting caught up on housework, painting, and finding ideas for Bostons big boy room.
I came across my favorite new website http://projectnursery.com.  They have great ideas and inspiration!
I bought a quilt at Target last week that I have been eyeing.  However, the sheet set is no longer available. Boo. I may end up taking it back after finding this website, now my wheels are turning... The room that we are moving him to is a dark neutral/brown/green color and I will probably leave it that way because I'm not sure how long we will be staying at this house.

I've always loved this bed but have had no reason to buy it until now.

maybe with this dresser.

I recently found this bed and headboard.  I love that it is lower to the ground and has storage underneath.  I just worry about the sharp corners.

I would also like to find a bed option with a trundle.  If for some reason I need to sleep in his room one night or whenever he is old enough for sleepovers.
What do you guys think?  Ideas, suggestions?
I hate making decisions...
