We're still here...2 year check up

The last couple of weeks I have been back to working full time.  Let me tell you I am so ready for this week to be over!!!  I have a deadline Thursday and hopefully after that, I won't have to come back to work for a while!
The weather here as been gorgeous! Hard to believe we were snowed in a couple of weeks ago.  So we have spent lots of time outside.

We also had Bostons 2 year check up. He is doing great.  28lbs and 33 inches tall. I can't remember the percentiles, but I know he is still in the 93rd percentile for his head size!
No shots this time, but they did do a finger prick and he came unglued!  He also had some problems with his "peepee" due to a not so good circumcision at birth, but it's doing better thank goodness.
We have also had problems getting him to eat anything, he just want milk all the time!  We are switching him to 2% and giving him more water so maybe he will be more hungry.
It also seems that his sleeping problems are getting better *crossing fingers*. I guess it was just a short phase.

He also has a love for the girl scout thin mints, like his momma! :)

I will be 16 weeks this week and hopefully we will be able to see if we are having a he or she!
I'm so ready to know so I can start planning Bostons big boy room and the nursery!!!
I'm having some difficulty finding bedding that I like for Bostons big boy room.  There is one contender at Target that I am leaning towards, but if you guys have any suggestions let me know.  I just dont want anything too "themey".
Have a great week!

2nd Birthday Celebration(s)

We have had a crazy week!  We were snowed in on Bostons actual birthday, actually for 2.5 days so we were ready to get out of the house this weekend!
On Thursday we celebrated his actual birthday at our house and he opened his gifts from us and we had Nemo cake!

Friday night we had the grandparents over for cake and presents.  We are proud of the them for not going crazy.  We are seriously running out of room in our house.  It looks like a Toys R Us in our living room/dining room!  We will have to do some MAJOR cleaning out before #2 gets here!

On Saturday we had a few close friends and family come celebrate at the Fun Factory here in town. It's full of big inflatable jumping things and slides.  We had cupcakes and presents there too!
Boston had a great time especially after being cooped up in the house for so long.

 Boston and Stella jumping
Boston and Georgia going up the slide

B was wound up (to say the least) when we got home.  Mom stayed at the house with him so Kyle and I could go eat a Valentines dinner. He was still up when we got home at 9:45!

He looks so cute in just a shirt and diaper :)
He looks like he's scratching his booty, ha!
B and his HUGE birthday balloons!
Thanks to those who came to celebrate with us! It means a lot!

To Boston on your 2nd birthday

Boston,

Today you are two years old.  THE best two years of my life.  I cannot express how amazed and proud of you that I am.  You have grown leaps and bounds over the past few months.  Talking way more, repeating some things we say (oops) and have become your own little independent self.  Just the other night you woke up crying and I tried to rock you back to sleep.  I haven't done this in MONTHS.  Your legs now dangle off of the chair. You no longer want/need me to rock you.
I remember the nights when I had to rock you to sleep and I miss them so much. I hope to never forget the way that made me feel. I long for those times again. I'm thankful that you can put yourself to sleep now, but I miss those earlier days.
I went to check on you last night before we went to be and you were hanging off of your toddler bed.  It broke my heart.  Its time to get you a big boy bed.  I'm so glad you are healthy and growing but its bittersweet.  I cried myself to sleep last night looking at your newborn pictures. It's hard to believe you were that small.
We have approximately 6 months before baby brother or sister comes along.  6 months of you, me and daddy.  6 months to devote as much time and attention to you as possible. 6 months of you being an only child.  I know you will make the best big brother and I can't wait to see the bond between you and the little one.  Your mom and dad has never had that sibling bond.
I hope you understand one day the love that we have for you.  I can assume that will only happen when you have children of your own.  I honestly had no idea that I could love so much until I had you.  My life was changed and I cannot imagine living life without you.  I love your sweet hugs and kisses. The way you sit right next to me on the couch to watch TV.  Every little thing about you.
You are the sweetest little man ever, and my baby you will always be!

Love you bunches,
Mom

Birthday Week and Dr. Appt

We are having a "birthday week" at our house.  Boston turns 2 on Thursday and I can't believe it.  Although his behavior lately highly resembles the "terrible" twos :)
His dad couldn't wait to give him one of his presents so he got this on Sunday...

And our house now looks like a daycare center...He has officially taken over!

We also got his haircut this week.  He looks like such a big boy sitting in the chair :)

I will be 14 weeks prego this week!  I had a Dr appt on Monday and heard the heartbeat at 160! Everything sounded great and I was down a couple of pounds.  Food just isn't the same, nothing sounds good! I wish it was like this when I wasn't pregnant!
Everyone is saying its a girl.  We hope to find out pretty soon :) I honestly don't care which as long as it's healthy. I'm ready to start planning the nursery and B's big boy room! I plan on doing belly pics again, I just haven't started yet.

It's looking like another snow day for us tomorrow and possibly Thursday.  They are calling for 6-8 inches of snow, but it changes everytime I see the weather :/  Spring cannot get here fast enough!!!

Yet ANOTHER booboo!

People are going to think we beat our child. I swear we need to get him a helmet for his 2nd birthday and we SO would if he would wear it!

taken with phone
This bump scared me to death!  He was staying with Papaw while we were getting our taxes done and fell and hit the corner of the sofa.  Thankfully the swelling went down within a couple of hours and he was playing and acting just fine.  I know it could have been worse, I'm thankful that he didn't cut himself bad and need stitches!  I guess that is just the typical life of a rough and tumble boy!  I guess I better get used to it.

On another note, I am SO ready for Spring!  Last weekend was just a teaser.  The sub freezing temps and snow/flurries have returned and it is messing up all of my plans!  I have tried for two weeks to get my hair done and I have a Dr appt on Monday.  They are calling for more snow and I will be so mad if I have to miss it!  I need to hear that little heartbeat :)
I would give almost anything to be in Florida right now!
