What a difference a year makes...

I just realized that just over a year ago (November 5th) was when I became a stay at home mom.  I actually continued to work on call up until I had Blake, but so much has changed in that year!
The Lord has blessed us in so many ways!  I do not doubt our decision at all! Even on the days where I long for adult time or "me" time. Taking the leap to a one income household was scary but we survived!   This is definitely the hardest job I have ever had or will have!  Some days I think I am just not cut out to be a SAHM, but the other days totally make up for it.
Around this time last year, we learned we were expecting!  Such an exciting time for us as we tried for 9 months.
I was blessed with a smooth and healthy pregnancy and of course with a beautiful baby girl!  I feel like my relationship with God has grown tremendously in the past year and I couldn't ask for more!
It has been so hard to keep up with the blog lately but here are some photos from the past few weeks...

4 months old!

I will say again that I can't believe Blakely is already 4 months old!  She has become really alert and her wake time has really increased!  In fact I do believe the 4 month sleep regression has hit our home.  She has been sleeping through the night for a long time now, but the past week she been really fighting her sleep and waking up fussy during the night.  Holding the paci in for a while has been doing the trick, so she still goes all night without eating.  She is eating about 4-6 oz every 4 hours.  Still exclusively breast milk. I haven't checked her weight at home and her check up is next Wednesday so i will update this post with the stats.  I can really tell she is growing though!  She is growing out of her 0-3 month clothes and into 3-6 month.  But mostly wears 3 month.  Her feet are still too small for the shoes we have.  Her feet are very skinny!
Her hair is also growing and getting much lighter.  She looks more and more like her brother every day!
She has started "talking" a lot more and loves to suck on her fingers!  She is trying to roll over too.  She gets on her side, so I have a feeling it wont be too long.  She holds her head up great too!
She is still such a good baby and so happy!  I am so blessed to have an easy baby especially the second time around!
We love you baby girl!

Just an update

Goodness we have been SO busy lately!  I haven't had time to write or read blogs!
We are doing good.  Blake is growing like a weed as well as Boston.  I CANNOT believe Christmas is almost here!
Look who is sitting in the bumbo like a pro!
 I think B loves her now :)

Lil Miss has discovered her hands

Hopefully I can update more often!

Blakely-3 months old

Hi, I'm 3 months old!
How is it that you are already 3 months old!?!?  That means we are supposed to start you on some solid foods next month! Gah! You are still such a happy baby.  You smile all of the time and only cry if you are hungry or really gassy.  You have found your hands this past month and love trying to put them in your mouth or play with them.  You are still teeny but are steadily getting some fat rolls as you can see :)  Last week you weighed 9.1lbs and were 22" long.  That is the size of some newborns!  I love that you are still small, as long as you are healthy and growing, which you are. We still have you in our room in the pack and play, but you sleep in your bouncy seat.  I need to start laying you flat so you will sleep in your crib when the time comes.
You pretty much sleep through the night and feed about every 3-4 hours during the day.  A lot of times you will sleep through a feeding if we are out and about.  So that being said, we still aren't on much of a time schedule. The time you eat differs almost every other day.
You are wearing 0-3month clothes and 3 month clothes, but the pants are always too big.  We moved up to a size 1 diaper this month too.  You are really good at holding your head up and love to people watch, especially if its your brother!  You are still a mommy's girl, but daddy is growing on you.  You love to smile at him too!

This melts my heart...
I'm SO thankful that you are such a good baby and I'm so glad that you came into our lives!
You've  made our family complete :)
We love you baby girl!
I'm in LOVE with those chubby cheeks and can't stop kissing them :)
