9 months old

Boston,
Is it really true that you are 9 months old today and that in 3 short months we will be celebrating your first birthday?!?!  This 9 months has gone by so much faster than the 9 months I carried you!  You continue to amaze us everyday with something new.  I cannot believe how fast you are growing and changing and how we have been blessed with such an amazing little boy!  You are so much fun right now and I would give anything to be able to stay home with you everyday and experience this time with you. I'm still trying to be able to spend more time with you little man!  Maybe soon....  You do love your daycare as do we and I am so thankful.  It was rocky at first but I completely trust them all and every teacher knows your name and who you are and just raves about what a good little boy you are and your sweet smiling face! You are moving up to the older infants class which breaks my heart!  I'm thankful that you are growing and healthy but all this is happening way too fast for mama! In the older infant room you no longer have a crib, you will sleep on a mat in the floor!  That just seems like such a "big kid" thing to do!

Here is what Boston is up to these days:
  • Eating 3 meals a day (consists of baby food, occasional puffs and yougurt melts and biter biscuits)
  • Outgrowing 6-12 month clothes, fitting into 12 months now :(
  • Size 3 diapers
  • Still loves his paci and bottle, I'm afraid those will be hard to break in a few short months
  • Still LOVES bath time
  • Scooting across the floor on his booty which is hilarious!
  • We still have him in his infant seat but I am looking for a convertible car seat for Christmas (any suggestions???) We are currently in the Chicco Keyfit 30 and LOVE IT but it's getting too small!
  • Loves to stand up at the ottoman and beat on it.  He acts so proud of himself!
  • Still saying dada and other baby talk, I'm still waiting to hear mama!
  • He has just stopped needing/wanting to be rocked to sleep which breaks my heart. Although we are thankful that we can just put him down in his crib and he will fall asleep on his own without crying!
  • We are working on waving bye, bye
  • He has learned to clap and it is so cute!

We have our 9 month check up tomorrow and I hope to find out that your ears are clear!  You have a constant congested nose and right now have a bit of a cough so I am hoping it isn't coming back!
We had your 9 month pictures with Heather last week and you WERE NOT in the mood.  You cried almost the whole time! I'm pretty sure she didn't get even one with you smiling!

I came across this poem and wanted to share it with you little man:

i carry your heart with me

i carry your heart with me (i carry it in my heart)
i am never without it(anywherei go you go,
my dear; and whatever is done by only me is your doing, my darling)
i fear no fate (for you are my fate,my sweet)
i want no world(for beautiful you are my world, my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you
here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart
i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)

We love you so much Boston!

What sweet photos! I can't believe he sat so nicely on those chairs! Jackson is over 1 yr and STILL is crazy about his baths. In fact, everytime I walk into that bathroom - he's right behind me thinking it's bathtime :)

Awww, happy 3/4 birthday! It's bittersweet how fast time goes with a little one.

He's adorable in his argyle sweater vest and that big, oversized chair!
