6 months old!!!

Boston,
Today you are 6 months old! I cannot even believe it! You are the best baby a mother could ever ask for. We are so blessed to have you in our lives. You are so well behaved, I have so many people tell me how lucky we are to have such a good baby. I am in awe of how you change and grow every day. You are such a big boy and you slept in your crib for the first time (at night) this weekend! It is very bittersweet. Friday night you slept from 9:30-4:00 in your crib, then I came and got you. Saturday night you slept from 9:00-2:00 and last night from 9:00-3:00 before coming into our room. I just don't think I can let you "cry it out" yet, if ever, so you still be spending time in Mommy and Daddy's bed until you get used to the crib. Mommy did surpisingly well with the transition and i am very proud of myself!

According to our measurements you are over 18lbs and 27" long!!! Your 6 month check up isn't until next week so we will know more then. You are in size 3 diapers and 6-9 month/9 month clothes. You are saying 'dada dada' but aren't associating it with daddy yet. I am trying hard to get you to say momma though! Mommy is still breastfeeding you and 6 months was my goal, but I think i can hang in there until you get a tooth. I'm just not ready to give up that "connection" to you just yet. You are sitting by yourself for longer periods and you sat in the shopping cart at Hobby Lobby the other day and just loved it! You also got to sit in the high chair at a restaurant like a big boy. I think my life has just gotten a little easier b/c you are sitting up. No more taking you in the carrier, it has become too much for mommy to handle!

I am already looking forward to spending my day off on Wednesday with you! I never realized how quickly time passed until you came into our lives. I cherish every second I have with you and promise to never take it for granted. You are the light of our lives little man! We love you to the moon and back!
