Prayers Needed!

We found out yesterday that Kyle's mom will be going to MD Anderson in Houston on May 6th to start preparation for her stem cell transplant. We have known that it is coming, but just didn't expect this short notice. I don't know a lot of details but Kyle, Boston, and I will be traveling to Houston with her on the 6th and driving back on the 10th (Mothers Day). She will be admitted to the hospital on the 15th and the procedure will be done on the 22nd. She will not get to see Boston from May 15th up until she is in the clear which could be end of June or July. From what I understand she will be in Houston until sometime in August.
Please pray:
  • For us as we travel to and from Houston May6-10th; Boston has not ever spent the night away from home and I'm not sure about how the 8+ hour car ride will go...
  • For our family; these next few months will be very straining and stressful on everyone
  • That the testing, preparation, and procedure goes according to plan
  • For Kyle's mom (having to be away from family and friends for so long)
  • Me and Kyle and that our jobs will be understanding (especially since i have been out for 9 weeks and just got back)My workload is crazy right now...
  • My first Mothers day will be difficult. We will be leaving Connie and spending the whole day in the car. I also won't get to see my mom on Mothers Day.
  • For us this next week as we all prepare for the trip

Courtney, I have a friend who has been going to MD Anderson and she has triple negative cancer that is now GONE! Even the Dr.'s are amazed at this! We all know its all of our prayers. (However, they are wanting her to do more "experimental" treatments, sounds like the same thing Connie is doing, to be pro-active against it coming back) I didn't even realize Connie was still battling cancer. I will put her on our church prayer list, and just know we serve a BIG GOD who has us in His hands! Be strong...we're praying for y'all!

I live in the Houston area. MD Anderson has some of the best Dr. in the world. She'll be in good hands. Good luck on the car ride! Let all of us new mommies know how that goes, I'll be doing that in June when we head to Oklahoma for a family reunion. I don't have any suggestions other than maybe a mirror? My daughter loves to look at herself!
