Which Dress?

I have a dinner to attend this Friday for my husbands work and I have to have a semi-formal dress.  I'm not a fan of buying things for 1.) functions that I don't want to go to and 2.) that I won't wear often.  So I hurried out on my lunch break to get something.  I tried these two dresses on and liked them both (okay).  I went ahead and purchased the black one but I am second guessing myself.  I have shoes already that will go with either dress, but I do need a chunky necklace or something to go with it.
So since I can't EVER make a decision, I'm asking for your help.  I really wish I had someone to follow me around and make decisions for me everyday, but anywho...

Should I keep this one

Or exchange it for this one

Or find something different altogether?  I think the second one looks more trendy where as the first is more classic.  Kyle has mentioned that I have been dressing like an old lady lately.  Probably because a.) I talk myself out of buying stuff  for me b/c I would rather buy cute, stylish clothes for B and b.) my self image lately is not the best so I have given up on looking cute.  The first one does look like something my mom would wear (no offense) so does that mean I need to go with the second one?

Whatever I do, i will wear it this weekend as well as to an upcoming golf tournament (fancy) dinner.
So help me out girls!!!

By the way, these dresses are from the Limited.  All of their dresses are currently 30% off!

There are pluses to both of these dresses.
The black one (A) can be wore for several different occasions and is a classic. The other (B) is soo cute and trendy. I do agree. If you want something classy/trendy and cute I would go with B. But wear the dress that you feel the most fabulous in! You better take pictures of you and Hubs before you go out! I just know you will look stunning!

Dressing like an old lady? OUCH! Did that comment at least get followed by a a womanly death stare? :P

Personally - I prefer the 2nd one, only because the first one is every girls "little black dress". Classic YES - but special? Not really. It will be drowned out by the necklace you wear - which will be the only focal point. Are as with the second one - the dress itself will stand out. But, if you think you will wear the classic more often, than that was probably your better option. I too, hate buying dresses for 1 occasion (which is probably whey I seldom buy new ones). Good luck deciding!

Go with the 2nd one!! You're young and fun even if you're not feeling it right now! In 20 years, the 2nd one won't be an option :)

I actually like both dresses but if you want to wow your hubby by wearing something a little bit more fun and flirty and young, then I would say go with dress number 2.

Take pictures!
