Random thoughts by Courtney Burton

We had a great weekend in Hot Springs! K was in the annual HS 4 ball golf tournament, while B and I spent some time with friends, shopped and did a little swimming! I only took one photo all weekend which will have to come later since I am at work. BTW I have spent my entire morning reading blogs.  Can we say SLOW times at the good ole architect firm.  I'm wondering if the economy is just now hitting us.  It seems as if everyone else is getting back into the swing of things, but we are getting slower.

I stepped on the scale this morning to discover that I have gained 4lbs!  How in the world did that happen in just a couple of days?!?! Holy bejeezus!  I have GOT to do something! Get my booty in gear! I have been SO lazy lately and I'm tired of feeling frumpy and hating every piece of clothing that I put on! AND it is hot as blazes!  I keep telling myself I will become a runner, but who wants to run in these temps? Just another excuse I guess....

I find it funny that I get so excited about putting B in a new outfit.  I happened to get him a few new outfits this weekend and I was so excited to get him ready for school today!  The kid has way more shoes than I do too! Shopping for him has become my new addiction.  Speaking of shopping, when I am bored at work, I seem to peruse the web and make lists of things i want to buy (bad news).  Among my list of things are a new camera bag from Etsy, some new sandals for myself, etc. I just bought 3 new photography books that I am excited about, but who knows when I will actually have time to read them?  I really need to work on time management or figure out how I can survive on little to no sleep so i can get things done...

I was getting a little worried about my painting side jobs.  Last month was REALLY slow. But I completed a couple of projects last week and have a couple more lined up to keep me busy.  Including a big abstract that I am excited about.  Check cbdesigns for updates.
