Blakely is 1 month old today!
Its hard to believe she is already a month old. It seems like just yesterday I had her, but then it also seems like she has been a part of our family forever. She is such a good baby and only cries when she is hungry or her belly hurts. Just this past week she has started having a lot more awake time and sometimes at night it has been hard to get her to go back to sleep after a feeding. The last two nights haven't been bad though.
She usually eats every 3-4 hours and we are exclusively breast feeding, but she has taken a few bottles without problem. I am trying to get closer to a "schedule" on feedings but it still varies each day. At nighttime, she usually eats around 9 or 10, then 1 or 2, then 6 or so. Which isn't bad!
She loves her paci (just like her brother) and I need to invent a device that keeps those suckers in her mouth! She freaks out sometime when it comes out. She will only take the exact same kind that Boston did (avent). I thought that would be a problem, but Boston hasn't thought twice about putting it in his mouth, thank goodness!
We weighed her this week and she is a whopping 7.2lbs on our scale. She is growing like a weed!
She is still in newborn clothes and diapers and some 0-3 month clothes if they run small.
We have so many cute 3 month summer outfits that she will never get to wear :( She doesn't have many fall clothes and I'm not sure what size to get yet. I'm thinking 0-3 months for now. I hate to buy things that she may not get to wear.
I think Boston is adjusting better to having her around. If he doesn't see her he asks where she is and always makes sure to let us know when she's crying (as if we can't hear her, ha!) He used to play by himself so well, but since her arrival, he wants me or someone in his room with him at all times. Which makes it super hard to get anything done around the house! It has helped having him in MDO and his Gran C and Papa have helped out a bunch too.
If we don't keep a close eye on him at all times, he is usually doing something he isn't supposed to. But it is getting better!
Baby girl, you make our family complete and we love you bunches!
