So Frustrated!!!

So, daycare called me yesterday and said B had a 99.5 fever and was refusing to eat and was very restless when trying to nap and just "wasn't the Boston they know". They wanted me to come get him and see if I could get him into the Dr. before he got worse.  I called our Dr office and they said they were booked up for the rest of the day and to call back at 8AM the next morning.  I took B home and by that time he had a 102 fever.  I gave him some ibuprofen and then some tylenol and it eventually came down to 100.  He finally drank 5 oz for me (he only had 7oz all day!) and ate his dinner and seemed to be feeling better. 
This morning I took his temp at it was 97.8.  I went ahead and took him in to daycare and they looked at me like i was crazy for bringing him back in.  I told them I was trying to get him into see a Dr today.  So I called and called and finally got put on hold FOR 30 MINUTES for them to tell me that they were already booked up for the day (this was at 9AM) and they would have a nurse call me back. She even asked "is he sick?"  Well HELLO why would i try to get him to the Dr if he wasn't sick?!?! 
The only other Dr's in the area that take our insurance are at UAMS and AR Childrens and I would rather not expose him to those places if we don't have to!  I just know this is another ear infection caused from congestion, he has battled fever for the last 3 days, cranky, pulling on his ears, green runny nose, and not eating much. By the way this will be his 3rd one since September 8th! I realize that there are a bunch of sick people right now and everyone freaking out about swine flu, but seriously?  It is 2:30 and I have yet to hear back from a nurse!!!  At least he isn't terribly sick and this isn't an emergency, but the longer we have to wait the worse it will get, ugh!
