5 Months Old

Boston,

You are 5 months old today and it has flown by so fast, I know I say that all the time but it is crazy how much you have changed! Our lives have become so busy lately and I'm trying to savor every moment with you when I can!

• You are still the cool, calm, quiet baby that you always have been and mommy is very thankful!
• You weighed in at 16lbs the other night!
• Mommy is still breastfeeding you and we have started rice cereal and some solids. So far we have tried sweet potatoes, peas, and carrots. You haven't just loved any of them yet so you must be like your mom when it comes to veggies! You do have formula on occasion and have no problems taking it.
• You are in size 2-3 diapers and 6 month clothes
• You love your jumperoo and still love to be held, especially at night before bed.
• We still have you in the pack n play in our room, we had to take the top part out b/c you now exceed the weight limit! So now you sleep on the very bottom. I usually put you in our bed around your early morning feeding 4:00-5:00. Still going back and forth on moving you to the crib...
• You are almost able to sit up on your own. You can sit up (very wobbly (sp?)) for a short amount of time. Daddy calls you Harry Carey when you do this!
• You have rolled over and don't mind tummy time as much now
• You are starting to notice the dogs more and grabbing a handful of Murphy's hair when he comes close
• You are reaching out for things and I can't wait until you start to reach for Mommy or Daddy!

You are such a precious gift from God and we love you more than anything in this whole world!!!
